Sara Wiborg,

Dear Alexander,

You have requested access to a letter regarding progress on the Proposal for a regulation concerning the respect for private life and the protection of personal data in electronic communications and repealing Directive 2002/58/EC (Regulation on Privacy and Electronic Communications). The letter was sent by the Secretariat of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament to Sweden's Permanent Representation to the European Union on March 6, 2023

My assessment is that no documents can be disclosed to you. A search for documents that correspond to your request has been conducted within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. No official documents that correspond to your request have been found.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of this examination, you may contact the Senior Registry Clerk at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs via [e-postadress] and request that the matter be examined by the authority through a decision by a government minister. A ministerial decision is required for the matter to be appealed to the Government. The minister may also refer the matter directly to the Government. Specify which decision you want the authority to examine and how you want the decision to be changed.

For your information, the letter that you are requesting may be available at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU. The representation is an independent authority and requests for access to public documents must therefore be made directly to the representation. The contact details of the representation can be found here: https://www.swedenabroad.se/en/embassies....

Sara Wiborg
