Invitation: Online Workshop on Search Engine Defaults - 31 January 2022
DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Lilo, Qwant and Seznam are delighted to invite you to an online
on search engine defaults
on Monday, 31 January at 14:30 -15:30 CET.
In an interactive session with the audience, we will make a visual demonstration of the
prevalence and importance of default settings for search engines and browsers in different OS
environments. We will then move on to how solutions based on choice and easier switching
can look like.
Our basis for action has been established in ourjoint search engines letter
DMA (October 2021).
This session is open to experts from EU national governments
currently involved in the
negotiations of the Digital Markets Act (Council attachés and officials from relevant
administrations, including competition authorities). You are encouraged to forward the
