Data on Folkhögskola vs University, why is it worth to fund Folkhögksola? What are the positve outcomes of studying in them? Why fund them?

Dear Ministry of Education and Research,

We are exploring how to open a folkhögskola in Lithuania and are looking for some data to prove our concept. As Sweden has had folk highschools for 150 years, I believe you should have some statistics about it. I was wondering if you have any data or report on:

How much is spent per student in Folkhögskola per month?
Do the schools get extra funding from governmental bodies as an extra and not per student (deltager vekar)?
How much is it spent per student in University per month?
How much is it spent per 1 unemployed young person per month?
Any data on how studying in Folkhögskola affect the young people? Test groups of those who took FHSK course and those who didn't? Do more of the alumni go to universities, less drop outs while studying in university after folkhögskola, do they find jobs easier? Long term affects of folkhögskola on people? So comparative data, of why is it worth to have Folkhögskola courses for Swedish government? And how does this investment payback?

Looking forward to hearing back from you,

Yours faithfully,

Aurimas Razanauskas

Dear Aurimas,

Thank you for your letter regarding Folkhögskola. Your questions are
rather extensive and unfortunately the ministry does not have the capacity
to compile the answers for you. I recommend that you consult the following
resources:

The Swedish National Council of Adult Education, which is a non-profit
association with certain authoritative tasks delegated by the government
and the Riksdag (the Swedish Parliament):
