Dear Ministry of Health and Social Affairs,

Various British media outlets have reported that on Sept. 21st last year, the UK Prime Minister was “briefed” by Anders Tegnell, accompanied by two British academics known for their scepticism towards Covid lockdown measures.

e.g. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

Concerning Mr Tegnell’s involvement in this meeting, I have the following questions.

1. Does Mr Tegnell’s professional contract allow him to attend meetings to “brief” foreign governments?

2. Did Mr Tegnell advise both the Public Health Authority and the Swedish Health Ministry in advance of his attendance at this meeting? If so, did both bodies give their agreement?

3. If “yes" to question 2, may I request copies of the correspondence between Mr Tegnell and the relevant authorities?

Yours faithfully,

Richard Hunt

Dear Mr Hunt,

Thank you for your message. Please find below answers to your three
questions:

 1. Questions about the employment contract of Mr Tegnell can be directed
to the Public Health Agency of Sweden. They are responsible for the
employment of Mr Tegnell, it is not the responsibility of the Swedish
Ministry of health and social affairs.
 2. We have no recollection of discussions taken place between the Public
Health Agency of Sweden and the Swedish Ministry of health and social
affairs before the meeting you are referring to.
 3. N/A

Yours sincerely,

David Lorenzon
